On Tuesday 25th November Lord Neuberger, President of the UK Supreme Court, launched the latest research report from the Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues entitled ‘Virtuous Character for the Practice of Law’.
The launch event took place at the Supreme Court in London and was attended by invited legal professionals and organisations, as well as law students from Birmingham and York University. Lord Neuberger spoke highly of the research and its findings when introducing the report and commented that 'ethical and values led education is vital for lawyers'. The report, which sets about trying to examine the place of character and values in the legal profession in Britain, draws its findings from a UK-focused survey of 955 lawyers and aspiring lawyers and is available to view here. The release of the report has been included in the Guardian, as well as The Lawyer.
