Jacob Byrne

Jacob joined the Jubilee Centre in July 2019 acting in the role of Research Officer and is responsible for supporting the coordination of the research work and activities across the Centre. Jacob has completed an MA in Political Theory at the University of Birmingham where he explored ethics in international relations focusing on human rights and Just War Theory. His dissertation explored the extent to which cultural self-determination should be a shield against humanitarian intervention.

Prior to joining the centre Jacob worked as an Immigration Officer at the University of Birmingham providing immigration support to students and visitors of the University.
