On the 18th November 2020, Dr. Tom Harrison chaired a panel discussion titled ‘It’s Never Too Early to Make a Difference’ as part of the #iWill Campaign’s Power of Youth festival. Dr. Harrison’s session brought together guests representing University of Birmingham School, #iWill ambassadors, the Church of England, Yeading School and the ABYYT to discuss how children can be supported to engage in social action from an early age. The session was inspired by the ‘A Habit of Service‘ project that showed that younger children were more likely to more likely to have made a habit of service if they started volunteering in primary school. In November of every year since 2014, the #iWill Campaign has hosted a celebratory event recognising the work being done by those engaged in youth social action, this year’s edition is a free, interactive virtual festival.
