The 10th International CitizED conference will be held 17-19 July 2014 at:
The University of Birmingham, UK
Conference theme: Raising standards in citizenship
education: ideas, ideals and issues from around the world.
The 10th International CitizED Conference ‘Raising standards in citizenship education: ideas,
ideals and issues from around the world’ will focus on the contributions to enhancing
educational standards within citizenship education and also from citizenship
education to other educational contexts. We are interested to know how high
standards are achieved within citizenship education programmes. We wish also to
explore the ways in which citizenship education programmes contribute to the
achievement of high standards in other curriculum areas, to whole school issues
and to other educational matters.
Proposals
that explore matters from qualitative and/or quantitative studies are welcome.
The
conference is supported by the journal Citizenship Teaching and Learning. Conference
papers of good quality will be referred to the journal for consideration for
publication.
