Dr Anthony Seldon, last night delivered the University of Birmingham's annual Priestley Lecture entitled "Why the development of character is more important than exam results in schools". Dr Seldon asserts that academic attainment is a natural result in schools which have a focus on engendering good character amongst pupils.
