Dr Liz Gulliford presented at the 'Reaching Out – A Journey Through Happiness' event hosted
by Town Hall and Symphony Hall in Birmingham on 10th May. This free event aimed
to promote a dialogue and knowledge exchange between Postgraduate students and
Early Career Researchers working at University of Birmingham and the wider
community in the Midlands by exploring common human experiences of happiness.
Liz presented two interactive workshops on psychology and
happiness. The first entitled Three Good Things explored how writing
down things that have happened to you today which you’re grateful for, or that
are good, can increase your happiness. The second workshop encouraged
participants to write a letter to someone they have never thanked.
