Professor Kristján Kristjánsson publishes in The Conversation 19th May 2014 Academic Character Education In his speech at the Independent Schools Association’s annual conference on 15th May Richard Walden, the chairman of the ISA, claimed that state schools fail to provide pupils with a “moral compass” because of their relentless focus on exam results and league tables – a focus that leaves little room for moral education.

In an article published in The Conversation Professor Kristján Kristjánsson, Deputy Director (Research) for the Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues calls for an end to this uninformed finger pointing and suggests that instead we consult the evidence. The full paper can be found here.
