Dr David Walker Visits Harvard and Boston University

David Walker attended a workshop at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University on Monday 16th June. The aim of the workshop was to work together to “Make Caring Count Again in Schools, Homes and Communities” through collective action. The workshop was attended by academics working on social and emotional learning and character education such as Thomas Lickona, Marvin Berkowitz and Jonathan Cohen. It was also attended by directors and presidents of many organisations working towards similar aims such as Gary Dixon, President of The Foundation for a Better Life.
David also visited Dr Steve Ellenwood, Faculty Director of the
Center for Character and Social Responsibility
at the School of Education, Boston University, to enhance connections between our two Centres.
