The Jubilee Awards for Service is an annual awards programme celebrating the outstanding service of those working in the public sector. The awards recognise and reward individuals who go above and beyond their remit, dedicate their working life to helping others, or who have made a significant contribution to the lives of others through their work.
Many public sector workers from across the UK were nominated by grateful colleagues, friends or members of the public and on 24th July, 14 Award Winners were invited to a ceremony at the House of Lords to receive their awards and certificates from Lord Watson of Richmond CBE. Award winners included police officers, firefighters, NHS workers and those in local government.
This year, 5 young people were also honoured as part of the Jubilee Awards for Service Youth Awards, run in partnership with Step Up to Serve. These young people have completed outstanding practical action in the service of others, including volunteering, campaigning, and fundraising.
