Tom Harrison Presents at Labour Party Conference Fringe Event 23rd September 2014 Conference Character Education Tom Harrison, the Centre’s Deputy Director of Development, presented at a Fringe Event at the Labour Party Conference held on 23rd September 2014. The Scout Association held a Fringe Event titled ‘Character through the Eyes of Young People: The Power of Non-Formal Education in Areas of Deprivation’ which focused on a debate concerning the power of non-formal education in areas of deprivation and speakers included Stella Creasy MP, Tom Harrison, and Scout members Florita and Ben Morante.
