Centre Launches Online Course in Character Education 3rd November 2014 Centre News Character Education

The Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues has developed a two-week online course on Character Education.  The course is free and is being delivered in partnership with FutureLearn, the UK's first MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) provider established by the Open University.  Titled 'What is Character? Virtue Ethics in Education' the course will tap into the increasing interest surrounding character and character education by politicians, employers, teachers, parents and young people across the world.  The course explore with leading academics from the Centre both the theoretical basis for, and the practical application of, character education and will answer important questions such what is character, why does it matter and can it be taught?

The course is suitable for anyone interested in gaining more understanding of character and character education; no previous knowledge is required.
