Schools of Virtue is a major research project which will highlight three 'beacon' schools where character-based interventions are used to support character and moral development. The project team have secured the involvement of 3 schools in the local Birmingham area; 2 secondary schools, and one primary. We are delighted to be working with:
St. Brigid's Roman Catholic Primary School
Nishkam High School
University of Birmingham School
The project begins with the administration of 2 baseline surveys, which will be completed by Year 5, Year 7 and Year 12 students, before researchers from the Centre's team will spend time in each of the schools undertaking action research and observations of lessons and resources, as well as holding interviews with pupils, teachers and parents to begin to formulate a picture of the character-based environment in which pupils are being taught.
