Centre Staff Give Skype Presentation at UNICEF Montenegro Seminar 27th September 2015 Jubilee Centre Impact

On Friday 25th September, Director of Partnerships Dr. Sandra Cooke and Centre Manager Aidan Thompson gave a presentation via Skype to a Teacher Training Seminar on character at the Ministry of Education in Montenegro. The presentation, titled 'Character Education Caught and Taught' gave an introduction to the Centre's approach to how character can be taught discreetly in schools, drawing from the Programmes of Study, and also how the school ethos and atmosphere can encourage a culture where character can be 'caught'. The presentation was to a group of Montenegrin primary teachers, and was the second teacher training workshop run by the Ministry of Education, and continued the collaborative partnership established between the team in Montenegro and the Jubilee Centre.

Sandra and Aidan attended the first teacher training workshop in Podgorica in June. During their visit, both Sandra and Aidan filmed a short piece to camera talking about the work of the Jubilee Centre and the importance of character education, both in the UK, and in Montenegro. The videos are available on the UNICEF Montenegro YouTube channel here, and here.
