Director of Partnerships, Dr Sandra Cooke visited colleagues in the Optentia Research Centre at North West University, South Africa for one week from 2nd - 6th November. The visit was at the invitation of Professor Ian Rothman and focused on areas of shared interest in character education. While there, Dr Cooke visited three schools in a range of settings, including a township primary school in Sharpeville and a farm school in Bothaville where she gave a presentation to staff at the school. As well as giving a day long workshop at the university on aspects of the Jubilee Centre’s work, she also delivered a half-day workshop on putting practice into policy.
