Centre Hosts Educational Philosopher Bruce Maxwell as Visiting Scholar 1st February 2016 Centre News Professional Ethics

The Centre is delighted to have welcomed Bruce Maxwell, Associate Professor in the Department of Education at the University of Quebec, Trois-Rivières, as a Visiting Scholar during January 2016.  As an educational theorist, Bruce's main research interests and writings focus on professional ethics and professional ethics education, moral development and education, and ethical and policy issues in education. He is the author of the book Professional Ethics Education: Studies in Compassionate Empathy (Springer, 2008) and teaches professional ethics in education.  During his time at the Centre, Bruce found the opportunity to meet with researchers and discuss projects, and also gave a seminar titled 'Professional Ethics Education for Future Teachers: overview of a research programme' as part of the Centre's bi-weekly seminar series.
