Join us for a free one day conference - 'Healing Friendship: Human and Divine'
This is a joint conference sponsored by the Jubilee Centre for Character and Virtues and the Aquinas Institute, Blackfriars, Oxford

Many accounts of virtue leave us with the impression that we have to strive as individuals to build up these “good habits” by practice. In reality we depend on others for knowledge of the virtues and for their growth, as well as for opportunities to practise them. This conference will explore how human relationships, requiring empathy and trust, can be healing, and, in the Church and her Sacramental system, become channels of God’s healing friendship. This will contribute to the Jubilee Centre’s on-going project of exploring how communities can promote mature integrity. It will contribute to the Aquinas Institute’s research project on how human complexity is compatible with the unity of the human soul, created in the Triune God’s image.
