Centre Director, Professor James Arthur, delivered a keynote presentation to 150 head teachers at the Independent Schools Association Annual Conference on Friday 12th May. The conference was entitled, ‘The Learning Mind, The Healthy Mind and The Relaxing Mind’. In his presentation, Professor Arthur spoke about the benefits of good character and how virtues and character education can form the basis for individual and societal flourishing. Professor Arthur then went on to speak about the commitment required of teachers as character educators before talking about the role that schools should play in building character education into all aspects of school life and the framework through which this should be achieved.
