Professor Kristján Kristjánsson and Dr. Tom Harrison gave presentations and attended meetings at the Kern Institute for the Transformation of Medical Education at Medical College of Wisconsin. They met with the Director of the Centre, Cheryl Maurana, the Kern Institute Leadership Team and the National Transformation Network. The focus of the presentations and meetings was how character education might be integrated into medical education with a particular focus on phronesis as an ideal in professional medical ethics. Professor Kristjánsson and Dr. Harrison drew on insights from the Virtuous Medical Practice report, the Virtue, Practical Wisdom and Professional Education report as well as the current Practical Wisdom and Professional Practice project.
