Professor Randall Curren, Chair of the Department of Philosophy at the University of Rochester and Honorary Senior Research Fellow of the Jubilee Centre, delivered a Jubilee Centre seminar entitled ‘Civic Virtue and Friendship in Aristotle’s Politics’ on 3rd May 2019. Professor Curren discussed the necessity of Politics in formulating Aristotle’s conception of civic virtue and friendship, highlighting its value in providing knowledge about cultivating the virtues essential to members of a society living well together.
