Professor James Arthur gave the Provost’s Public Lecture at Boston College on Thursday November 14th on the theme of ‘Formation in an Age of Uncertainty’ to a large audience. The talk can be accessed here. This was part of a two day conference on Formative Education (programme here). This important conference sought to advance an integrative and meaningful experiences for students and recognized that while there is renewed appreciation for student well-being amongst educational leaders, however, that this new line of reform frequently does not address issues related to shaping lives of meaning and purpose. The Jubilee Centre is working with the Oxford Character Project team to address this issue in the UK.
