Following the launch of the Centre's new podcast, Conversations on Character, in September, we are delighted to introduce episodes two and three with Gary Lewis, Chair of the Association for Character Education, and Dame Julia Cleverdon, Co Founder of Step Up to Serve. Episode two features Gary Lewis, Chair of the Association for Character Education, former Executive Head Teacher of Kings Langley School and adviser to government on character in schools. Gary Lewis shares his insights into the challenges presented to educators in the face of a national crisis, and the value mistakes can provide in furthering a person's understanding of their sense of self. The third episode features Dame Julia Cleverdon, Founder of Step up to Serve and one of the country’s most prominent leaders in the charity sector. Dame Julia Cleverdon talks about her life working in charities, the double benefit of youth social action and who she thinks exemplifies the virtue of courage. These can be accessed here.
