New Book: 'Understanding Character Education: Approaches, Applications, and Issues' 13th August 2021 Publications

On 31st August 2021, Understanding Character Education: Approaches, Applications, and Issues, authored by MA Lecturer Paul Watts, Research Fellow Michael Fullard and Deputy Director Professor Andrew Peterson, will be available to order here. The book explores the principles underpinning character education and the pedagogical practices which ensure it comes alive in schools. The Centre will host a webinar marking the launch of this book on 7th September 2021, for which registration is open. Hosted by Dr. Tom Harrison, the webinar will include guest speakers Nat Parnell (Regional Director, United Learning), Julie Taylor (Senior Teaching Fellow, University of Warwick), Adrian McLean (Trust Lead, Severn Academies Education Trust) and Tina Lovey (CEO, Rivermead Inclusive Trust), who, as well as commenting on the book, will share their insights into working with teachers to develop understandings of character education.
