Welcoming a diverse range of university delegates from thirteen countries to the University of Birmingham, the Centre hosted a two-day conference ‘Supporting the Establishment of Character Education Research Centres in Europe’ on the 13th and 14th June 2022.
With sessions led by Centre staff and contributions offered from the Association for Character Education, Aretai Center, Center for Ignatian Education, and Porticus, the conference offered guidance on how to develop and deliver as a successful academic research centre, adapt to changing policy climates, and demonstrate meaningful research impact. Guest were also given a guided tour around the University of Birmingham School, a leading exemplar of character education in practice.
