The Jubilee Centre and the journal Nursing Ethics organised a joint conference in Exeter on October 7 and 8, entitled Cultivating Character for Care. 10 papers were presented at the conference, which will form the basis of a special issue of the journal in 2023. Among the speakers were two from the Jubilee Centre:

Professor Andrew Peterson (along with Jessica Peterson, East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation): "Educating health care professionals who care for people living with dementia".

Professor Kristján Kristjánsson (along with Kristín Thórarinsdóttir, University of Akureyri): "Two variants of constrained participation in the care of vulnerable older persons".
