Professor James Arthur and Professor Andrew Peterson gave keynote lectures at the first Australian Character Education Summit Conference in Sydney from 13th – 14th October 2025 to a gathering of nearly 600 teachers. The event launched the new alliance of Australian schools that are united by placing character and virtues at the centre of their institutions. Professors Arthur and Peterson also visited a number of schools to advise on character which included: Scotch College and Geelong Grammar in Melbourne; Kings School and St Ignatius College in Sydney. The conference and tour were enabled by a decisive turn to character in Australian schools. The photo to the left are some of the Australian headteachers and teachers who are on the transformative MACE programme.
