The Jubilee Centre has published a Statement on Embedding Civic Character in Schools.

Developed through consultation with school leaders, leaders of Non-Governmental Organisations in the field, and university academics, the Statement aims to illuminate the important role that schools play in the civic lives of their communities; this would include schools being the provider of civic experiences for pupils by affirming the importance of civic character.

The Statement also pays attention to how civic character can be embedded in schools and aims to stimulate further dialogue about the importance of character for healthy and flourishing democratic life.
