Dr Liz Gulliford Visits Superior University, Lahore

Associate Professor, Dr Liz Gulliford gave presentations on the Centre’s Framework for Character Education to faculty at Superior University, Lahore and at the 5th Rectors’ Conference of the Association of Private Sector Universities held at the Higher Education Commission in Islamabad, where she was a keynote speaker. The event was attended by 110 public sector and private sector VCs from throughout Pakistan. 35 foreign delegates were also in attendance. Dr Gulliford also met with the Chairman of the Higher Education Commission, Dr Mukhtar Ahmed, who gave insights into the changing currents in HE in Pakistan in recent years.


Dr Gulliford was enthused to see the character education exemplified by Superior University, under the guidance of Rector, Professor Dr Sumaira Rehman; Chairman, Professor Dr Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, and Dr Syed Ali Mohsin Naqvi, Director of Chaudhry Abdul Khalid Centre for Contemporary Islamic Sciences (CAKCCIS), and greatly enjoyed visiting its Raiwind Rd campus. She was heartened to witness the appetite for character education in Pakistan at the Rectors’ Conference.


She was graciously hosted by the Chaudhry Abdul Khalid Centre for Contemporary Islamic Sciences (CAKCCIS) at Superior University, Lahore.
