Emerald Henderson, PhD student at the Jubilee Centre, has successfully passed her viva. Examined by Dr. Liz Gulliford and Professor Doret de Ruyter, and supervised by Professor Kristján Kristjánsson and Dr. Laura D’Olimpio, her thesis was entitled, ‘A neo-Aristotelian theory of emulation: Implications for cultivating teacher character through role modelling’. She will soon begin a postdoctoral fellowship in The Netherlands, where she intends to add further contours to this emulative theory.
