The Centre is delighted to announce the launch of the ‘Character Education Pedagogies’ project. This project explores the Centre’s extensive range of research projects and practical character education offerings to examine which character education pedagogies work, where they are best located and what contributes to their effectiveness. The research team will consult with practitioners across a wide range of settings and age ranges including primary and secondary education, higher education, the professions and vocational training, to determine which pedagogical approaches to character education have had a transformative effect in their context. The project will produce a database of pedagogical approaches for character education, including both caught and taught methods. A blog, titled ‘Character Education Pedagogies: What Works, Where and Why?’, related to the project launch is available to view here. More information on the project is available here.
