Professor John Haldane Appointed as Chair in Virtue Theory

 

The Centre is delighted to announce that Professor John Haldane succeeds Professor Candace Vogler as Professor of Virtue Theory. Professor Haldane is currently Chair of the Council of the Royal Institute of Philosophy. Professor Haldane has held a Chair in Moral Philosophy at the University of St Andrews for the last 25 years, having led the pioneering Centre for Ethics, Philosophy and Public Affairs and been awarded honorary degrees by numerous universities. He was recently the Newton Rayzor Sr. Distinguished Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Philosophy at Baylor University where he continues as Distinguished Affiliate Professor.
