June 2026

  • Professor Tom Harrison co-authored a journal article, along with Michael Grove, entitled ‘Educating What AI cannot: Character and the future of Higher Education’ via the British Journal of Educational Studies

May 2026

  • The Jubilee Centre Framework for Virtue Based Professional Ethics has been translated into Spanish by the Civic Humanism Center at the University of Navarre.
  • Professor Kristján Kristjánsson has contributed a chapter entitled ‘Friendship to Cultivate Practical Wisdom’ published as part of the book Improving Character: Moral Virtues, Strategies, and Questions.
  • Professor Kristján Kristjánsson has published a review of Giles Pearson’s book Aristotle on What Emotions Are via Notre Dame Philosophical Reviews.
  • Professor Kristján Kristjánsson, along with ex-Jubilee Centre PhD student Yun-Chieh Lu, have published an article entitled ‘Teaching multicultural character education in the classroom: a five-stage teaching strategy’ in the European Journal of Teacher Education.
  • PhD student James Brown published his MA in Character Education dissertation findings in the Journal of Character Education.
  • Dr. Shane McLoughlin released his new book Practical Wisdom Coaching: A Guide to Theory and Practice
  • Professor Kristjánsson, Professor Kaldjian, and Dr. McLoughlin have published a journal article entitled ‘Practical wisdom in medicine: defending a multidimensional, integrated view of an indispensable virtue’ in Theoretical Medicine and Bioethics
  • Professor Harrison, Dr. McLoughlin and Dr. Bartram have published a paper entitled ‘Character Education and Academic Progression in English Schools’ in Educational Review
  • Professor Andrew Peterson has edited a collection on The Virtue of Civility published by Oxford University Press.

March 2026 

  • Professor Kristján Kristjánsson contributed to the publication of an article entitled ‘Born to be Good: The Science of Children’s Moral Development’ via The Epoch Times
  • Dr. Shane McLoughlin has published an article entitled ‘Why Psychotherapy must Exchange Personal Values for Functional Virtues’ as part of a special issue in Current Opinion in Psychology, issued on 16th March 2026.
  • Dr. Shane McLoughlin co-authored an article entitled ‘Practical Wisdom, Emerging Technologies, and AI’ along with Verónica Fernández-Espinosa and Marta Velázquez-Gil in the Journal of Moral Education.
  • Dr. Shane McLoughlin was interviewed by El País as part of an article covering ‘experts on the relationship between character and flourishing’
  • Professor Kristján Kristjánsson was interviewed by Dr. Fabrice Jotterand as part of a podcast on practical wisdom in the context of medical education

February 2026

  • Former Jubilee Centre PhD student Emerald Henderson has published an article entitled ‘The Moral Psychology of Emulation Through Entangled Phronesis’ via Philosophical Emulations, issued on 11th February 2026.

January 2026

  • Liz Gulliford appeared on Voice of Islam on Friday 23rd January 2026, in which Liz was interviewed about gratitude on the station’s breakfast show, expanding on ‘Why gratitude is more than just saying thank you’.
  • Dr. Shane McLoughlin published ‘Single-Subject Designs in Character Education: Methods for Rigorous, Contextual, and Practitioner-Led Research’ via PsyArXiv
  • Professor Tom Harrison and Dr. Shane McLoughlin, along with Gianfranco Polizzi, authored a journal article entitled ‘News Literacy Education and Civic Engagement Among Primary School Children: A Mixed-Methods Evaluation’ via Cogent Education
