The inaugural European Character Virtues Association (EVCA), conference took place in Madrid on June 28th to 30th 2023. A collaboration between the Centre and the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria, Spain, the conference was themed on the challenges and opportunities for character and virtue education in Europe. Over 90 delegates from countries across Europe and beyond attended the event.
The ECVA was established by the Jubilee Centre in 2022 to enhance collaborations on research on character education across Europe. It provides unrivalled opportunities for members to share the best practices by participating in projects, events and other mutual-learning activities involving a wide range of universities. The Association also provides members with unique opportunities to shape European policies and initiatives affecting higher education and research. It aspires to bring together many educational institutions in Europe and scholars from all over the world.
