On July 2nd and 14th 2020 the Jubilee Centre hosted the ‘Leading Character Education in Schools’ and ‘Partnering with Parents on Character Education’ webinars, respectively. In conversation with Chris Clyne, Vice Principal at Northampton Academy, and Dave Wright, Assistant Head at Aylesford School, the ‘Leading Character’ webinar explored how each school became a ‘School of Character’ and introduced the Centre’s Leading Character Education in Schools CPD programme. Over 175 educational leaders from across the globe attended; to listen to the webinar, an audio recording can be found here. The ‘Partnering with Parents’ webinar presented recent Centre research on engaging parents on character education and explored the barriers schools may face in this endeavour, with recommendations from practice provided by Sophie Murfin, Executive Headteacher, Wise Owl Trust. The presentation slides from the webinar can be viewed here.
