Former Director, James Arthur, Appointed Professor Emeritus

Professor Arthur has been appointed Professor Emeritus at the University of Birmingham by the Vice-Chancellor and will continue to work with the Jubilee Centre. James joined the University of Birmingham School of Education in September 2009, and became Head of School in June 2010 before founding the Jubilee Centre in 2012.  As Director of the Jubilee Centre, James revigorated the field of character education research in the UK and internationally.  His focus was always on the practical applications of the research, ensuring that under his leadership, the Jubilee Centre impacted policy and practice at the highest levels.  Watch this short film, ‘A Decade Worth Celebrating’,  to learn more about the impact of the Jubilee Centre in its first decade.
