Deputy Director Professor Kristján Kristjánsson recently published a new article, ‘Aristotelian Character Friendship as a ‘Method’ of Moral Education’, on 19th March 2020. The article, published in Studies in Philosophy and Education, discusses Aristotelian friendship as a ‘method’ of moral education qua mutual character development. Professor Kristjánsson advocates for the suggestion that Aristotle-defined type of deep friendships may have a unique role to play in facilitating moral growth, above and beyond other developmental learning mechanisms.
