On Saturday 4th January 2020, Rebecca Tigue, Head of School at the University of Birmingham School, was presented with the Jubilee Centre’s first Character Ambassador Award by the Rt. Hon. Baroness Nicky Morgan, Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. The inaugural award was presented to Mrs Tigue for her exemplary work incorporating character as the foundation throughout all of the school’s activities. As Head of School, Mrs Tigue has directed the school’s approach to character since its inception in 2015, garnering national press attention for its exceptional approach to pupils’ character development. The Centre would again like to congratulate Mrs Tigue for her outstanding contribution to character education in practice.
