Character Education Research

Big Question: Can we teach character?

A major focus of the Centre’s research is on investigating the place of character education in schools.

The Centre has surveyed pupils and teachers, designed and trialled interventions, and evaluated provision in schools across the UK. Extending this focus, the Centre has begun to look at how character is developed in provision outside of mainstream schooling.
